Orientation

The required starting session for everyone interested in becoming a member, using the facility, taking courses, and/or producing a program. The orientation includes a discussion of “what is public access,” a review of the basic rules and regulations, and a tour of the facilities. After attendance at the orientation, you may register for membership and sign-up for courses in the Studio or Main Office (see below).

Held every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM.

Registration for membership must be done in person.

Monday - Friday
9:00 AM - 12:30 PM
1:30 PM - 5:00 PM
6:00 PM - 9:30 PM

Saturdays
9:00 AM - 12:30 PM
1:30 PM - 5:00 PM

Within 6 months of attending an Orientation. At that time you must present a valid government-issued photo ID with your current residential address. Payment can be made by cash, check (paid to: CMPAC), credit card, or debit card.

$25 fee for Charlotte residents.
$65 fee for residents of Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville, Matthews, Mint Hill, or Pineville.
$100 fee for those residing outside of Mecklenburg County. (NOTE: non-County residents can volunteer on shows, but cannot produce a content.)

At registration you will be given a complete packet of the Rules and Regulations of the organization, as well as other materials. Once your membership registration is complete, you may sign-up for any courses for which you qualify.
